Our Commitment

AR00.space is a free, open-source astronomical calculator. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about data practices.

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect personal data. AstroCalc does not require registration, login, or any personal information.

The only data stored on your device is:

  • Cookie consent preference — a cookie recording your cookie consent choice (stored for 12 months)
  • Session cookies — standard ASP.NET Core session cookies for website functionality (temporary, deleted when you close the browser)

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

  • No personal identification information (name, email, etc.)
  • No location data is stored on our servers (geolocation is processed client-side only)
  • No tracking pixels or third-party analytics
  • No advertising cookies
  • We do not sell, trade, or transfer any data to third parties

3. Geolocation

Some calculators may request your browser's geolocation to pre-fill latitude and longitude fields. This data is:

  • Processed entirely in your browser (client-side)
  • Never transmitted to or stored on our servers
  • Only used if you explicitly grant permission
  • You can always enter coordinates manually instead

4. Cookies

For detailed information about the cookies we use, please see our Cookie Policy.

5. Third-Party Services

This website may be hosted on Microsoft Azure. Azure's infrastructure may collect standard web server logs (IP addresses, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance monitoring. These logs are managed by Azure's Privacy Statement.

6. Open Source

AstroCalc is open source under the MIT License. You can inspect the complete source code on GitHub to verify our privacy practices.
